"I am a 48 year old Civil Servant at the Department of the Environment in
London where I have worked mostly on housing and homelessness issues and,
more recently (from home) on nature conservation. I live in Waltham Cross,
Hertfordshire (on the northern boundary of London) with my wife, Teresa, son
Robert (age 19) and dog 'Bouncer'. More details can be found on my family
website at http://uk.geocities.com/ukhuman1st/index.html
Photography has been my hobby for 10 years and I am a member of my local
club, Lea Valley Photographic Society. I am particularly interested in
nature photography, especially insects, wildflowers and the English
Countryside. I also enjoy taking photographs of the Gloucestershire
Warwickshire Railway, a preserved line in the Cotswolds, which is trying to
establish a steam railway link from Cheltenham Racecourse Station to
Stratford-upon-Avon (home of William Shakespeare). My favourite equipment
for macro photography is my Canon EOS 1000 with 90mm Tamron lens and Cobra
ringflash. I have recently acquired a Sony DSC-F505V digital camera with a
5x optical (10x digital) zoom which I am very impressed with."
