B R I A N B E L E F A N T
In the 24 years that I've been a photographer, my work has been collected by some very devoted fans. But I'd always been reluctant to show my photographs publicly because there seemed to be an element missing.
For some reason, my photographs never seemed to look exactly the way I remembered the moment.
About ten years ago, I began experimenting with alternative processes-varying everything from exposure to processing to printing. Two years ago, I nailed it. I came upon a combination of techniques that get my photographs to look the way my eye sees. And in the process, I developed an entirely new method of camera filtration.
My patent attorney says I can't tell you exactly how my filtration system works-at least not until the patent comes through-which is a shame, because the way in which I create the images adds to their meaning.
But even without explanation, I believe that my images stand on their own. My devoted fans seem to agree.
