Artist's Statement: I don't like talking about myself or my artwork. I suppose it's sort of required to put down something so I'll just say, I don't like the "artspeak" and puffery like the stuff most artists write. I don't have a "oneness with nature" or any of those things. I just simply do the best I can, trying to get some composition with the right light and color. Often, it's just luck or serendipity that happens. Anyway, all that matters is that someone (hopefully) will like my work. I want people to see how beautiful all the animals that we share this planet with really are. Wildlife photography is my first love, since I love nature and animals so much. When I'm working on animal images, I'm happy and feel good. When I'm working on a digital abstract image, I'm sad because it means I'm too sick to be in the field looking for that special wildlife shot to capture. I guess I'm taking out my emotions by using the computer instead of running around kicking things. At least people like my abstract work, which is okay.
