Idyllwild Art Students Portfollio
California's Idyllwild Arts is the place where dreams take shape in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, filmaking, and creative writing--- through Idyllwild Arts Academy, a private arts high school, and the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. for artists of all ages
The goal of the Arts program is to provide students with pre-professional training in their chosen area of art. The program goes beyond the traditional arts curriculum to include in-depth study in creative writing, dance, film and video, music, theatre and visual arts.
The Interdisciplinary Arts Major program is designed for the student who has demonstrated an interest and talent in collaborative arts. The Academy designs a course of study for each student so he or she can take advantage of many arts courses and specialized interdisciplinary projects.
The Arts faculty is composed of seasoned professionals who stress the fundamentals so important in helping young artists to gain admission to the college, university, conservatory or professional company of their choice.

Someone, I say, will remember us in the future..
Sappho, 640 B.C.
If it were customary to send little girls to school and teach them the same
subjects as are taught to boys they would learn just as fully and would understand
the subtleties of all arts and sciences..
Christine de Pisan Cite des dames 1405
Flemish painting will appeal to women especially the very old and the very young
and also to monks and nuns and to certain noblemen who have no sense of true
harmony. In Flanders they paint with a view to external exactness ..stuffs and
masonry, the green grass of fields and bridges which they call landscapes
Attributed to Michelangelo by Francisco da Hollanda, 1548
The history of all times and of today especially teaches that women will be
forgotten if they forget to think about themselves..
Louise Otto-Peters, 1849
Woman was the governing principle, the directing reason and the commanding
voice of the 18th century. She held the revolutions of the alliances and political
systems, peace and war, the literature, the arts and the fashions of the eighteenth
century as well as its destinies, in the folds of her gown.PRESS RELEASE:

( 18th century France was regarded as the Age of Absolutism and the Age of Reason
also called the `feminine age`. Salonniers were hosted by women like Madame
Geoffrin, Madam de la Fayette and Madame de Stael who conducted evenings of

'In dreams, there's no imagined thing that's too absurd, too strange.
Frequently my music comes from that inexhaustible
and shameless source.
I'm attracted by the idea of composing incorporating
sounds of different cultures.
In Ad Libitum I use the timbric of the synthesizer trying to create atmospheres
that take you inside yourself, …
there, we all have an ocean of latent images.
I try to free the functions of the subconscious mind and to perceive
how thoughts arise in the conscience.'
All tracks by Bruno Sanfilippo:
Piano, Synths, Samplers, various acoustic instruments, nature sounds & computer sound processing

AD LIBITUM by Paul Rijkens, Dutch progressive rockmagazine iO Pages.
I am very impressed by the CD Visualia of this Argentine musician who lives and works in Spain. Therefore I was very anxious to hear more of his work.
Well, his new album Ad Libitum again has become an ambientalbum of great beauty.
Hipnoide opens the album with calm but full and impressive pianosounds.
This runs into Intention where hypnotic percussion supports sultry synthesizerparts.
In comparison to Visualia Bruno on this CD uses some more acoustic (sounding) instruments like piano and guitars. In the fine and melodic Devoción this can be heard very well.
This is almost filmmusic. There are also some tracks on the album that are built up from very beautiful atmospheric sounds, like Deceptive Beauty, Oppio and Lúdico that sounds a bit like the music of Steve Roach. This piece is accompanied with a nice rhythm.
Oniria is a melancholic pianotrack with a lot of reverberation while Luminae Psicoactive and the titletrack could also serve as music for films. Again, this has become an impressive CD of this versatile musician.
