"Nature photography is like a prayer.expectation and wish for whatever this beautiful country should have been and still can be....amidst the uncertainty, the wars, and the non ending violence and self absorbed truths also stand the innocence and beauty of the forests, the earth, the streams and the flowers. But they stand embarrassed, lost and blushing from shame waiting for their prayer to be fulfilled".

Green, a bit of yellow with red dots, here and there a glimpse of grey in order to calm-a display of glory against the glowing sun in a morning field. In the background stand more flowers competing for the rays of light that will penetrate the canopy of tree tops, guaranteeing the tall ones life while the short ones will have to be satisfied with the little bit that filter through - nature in her glorious hues of greens, reds and yellows

The Ella Valley- a place where the dormant nature of winter meets the awakening colors of spring-a place where bare trees and gray paths of winter are replaced by colorful blooming trees and green carpets forming, if you will, a corridor to a greener future.

There are so many ways to photograph nature. You can flirt with it. You can confront it. You can you freeze its movement or you can make it flow. Water, a basic of life, cold, warm, clean, slowly trickling, flowing swiftly, still it intrigues. The eye sees each element separately, the camera, emboldens. It can freeze movement which the eye cannot detect; it can instill color where non exits. It can fire your imagination. Water: flow; slow or rapid, immense quantities of water which flow swiftly by raise a fine mist. Water has no boundary but the camera knows how to contain it.

Cyclamen intoxicates the senses; nature gives them sensual color and shape in order to entice a confused male bee to come into them; head bent in modesty, the strongly colored mouth of the flower leaves no doubt of the direction in which to enter, pink petals pull back and upwards with the pride of one who is confident of her beauty, her long straight neck lifts all the beauty upward, and then, a slight hesitant shaking, as if - but maybe not.and the camera captures, and paints the shaking onto the emulsion and immortalizes its beauty for eternity. And in the background proudly stands the forest watching and promising an endless expanses of nature's beauty.

And then, the sun also enters the game, penetrating rays of light through the golden shells of the pollen and instills a softening halo which sways slowly with the morning wind. There is before, and there is after; they call it the depth of field. The main subject possesses intensity, while the foreground and background contribute color, dark green spots enhancing the yellow glow. The rock garden in Yehoshua Park.

Springtime. White wild flowers in the Beeri Nature Reserve. Where the eye sees only one, the camera accumulates layers of color on a single surface, and each layer imposes the feeling of springtime upon springtime, color upon color. The wind participates in this celebration gently moving the flowers with the caressing hand of a painter who knows exactly where to add a bit of color, to create a stain or open a ray of light to illuminate other flowers in the background waiting to be exposed.

On the right: Winter in the Pratzim River. A weak stray ray of light tentatively enters the camera without permission as if it has the right to influence nature's creations. The ray is slightly blinding penetrates the intensity of the universe and shows its power to soften the heaviness of the boulders as if they seek to be controlled. And the shining path insists on determining where we shall go, because there, in a soft place, is the future.
Five o'clock in the morning and the golden rays of the sun warms the bitter winter cold still attempting to clutch the earth. But winters chances are nil. A new spring day has dawned.
